I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
